Agriculture Programs
The
School of the Lost Arts aims to bring people of all ages back into the
garden and onto the farm through hands on educational experiences. Most of
our classes take place at Dog Mountain Farm in Carnation where you’ll see
what a small scale working farm is like. With chickens and turkeys roaming
where they choose, a large vegetable garden that supports a CSA and supplies
local restaurants, an orchard, vineyard, greenhouses, beehives, poultry
processing facilities, and an outdoor kitchen, there’s a lot to learn! We’re
planning opportunities for kids, teenagers, school groups, and adults. Look
around and see which of our program offerings interest you!

Kids Meet the Kids...Goat kids that is!
12-4 PM
This is our last public event until October. We have so much that has
happened since Duckling Day! In addition to our new baby goats, we have
goslings, ducklings, turkey and chicken poults, and lots planted in the
fields. Explore the farm on our new Mother Goose self-guided tour. Go for a
wagon ride pulled by our Percheron draft horses. And participate in the
Spring Greens tasting to experience the variety of flavors available to add
to your meals. We'll have plant starts available to get your own garden off
to a great start. Learn about our summer offerings from culinary classes to
young farmer's day camp. Event fee is $5/car--refunded with a paid
registration to one of our classes or Day Camp.
