About Us
Our School was incorporated as
a 501(c)3 educational organization in January, 2009. We are actively hiring
key staff, developing our programming, and seeking funding. If you are
interested in working with us, would like to teach a class, or volunteer,
please send us an e-mail. We welcome your tax-deductable contributions!
Executive Director
Cynthia Krepky
An Ohio native, Cynthia has lived and worked in Washington for 30 years. She
received a BS in Botany, an MPA in Public Administration, and an Executive
MBA certificate from the University of Washington. A technical
communications professional, Cynthia worked for Metro, Microsoft, and had
her own company. In 2000, with her husband, David, she started Dog Mountain
Farm in Carnation to satisfy her passion for agriculture and education.
Cynthia is a founding member of Sno-Valley Tilth and the Slow Food Sno-Valley
convivium, and a former King County Master Gardener.
Agriculture Program Director
Tierney Creech
Tierney grew up in Redmond WA and graduated with a degree in Psychology and
Environmental Studies from Western Washington University in Bellingham. She
then went on to work in residential camping programs, spending several years
as the Assistant Summer Director at YMCA Camp Orkila. In 2007, on a crazy
hunch that she might like farming, she decided to move to New Zealand and
become a traveling farm volunteer. Lo and behold, she loved it! Since then
she has earned her Permaculture Design Certificate from both the Australian
and U.S. Institutes, and farmed in SW Washington. She is excited to return
to the greater Seattle area and combine her love of farming with her love of
teaching.
